Gospel. Community. Mission.

The goal is to reach our city with the Gospel in one generation.

Who Are The Recipients?

The recipients of First Peter were ordinary believers scattered across different cities, cultures, and walks of life. They were not the influential, powerful, or prominent people of their day. To the world, they may have seemed insignificant, forgotten, and far from the center of attention. Yet Peter reminds them of a profound truth: though they may have been overlooked by society, they were not overlooked by God. Writing to these scattered believers, Peter calls them God’s elect—His chosen people. Their identity was not determined by where they lived, what they accomplished, or how others viewed them, but by what God had done for them in Christ. In this sermon, we explore three foundations of the Christian’s identity: being foreknown by the Father, sanctified by the Spirit, and cleansed by the blood of Christ.
